Myriam Reynolds was born in Mexico and raised in Texas in a family of artists. Myriam fell in love with art and had her first art show at the mall when she was in the sixth grade.
In 1994 Myriam graduated from the University of North Texas School of Visual Art. Shortly after, she met her husband working in a residential treatment center where Myriam first began experimenting with using art for healing purposes.
Then she (and her future husband) moved to Colorado to attend Naropa University. In 2001, Myriam earned a Master's degree in art therapy and counseling psychology.
Currently, in addition to making art, Myriam works as an art therapist with first-time juvenile offenders, runs an art-based after school program, serves on several Boards of Directors and counsels surrogate mothers. Myriam is the proud mother of two beautiful girls who are also artists.
